I appreciate all the help with the last question about the solenoids for the shaved door kit. One more. Do any of you have pics of the solenoids installed? I'm not sure where to install them in the door. Thanks!

I saw that thread, but I can't really figure it out. What I need is a pic that shows the bracket installed. I don't know where to mount it in the door. Thanks though!

I doubt it will mount inside the door skin. It has brackets that hold the solenoid in place, and the bracket has to be bolted in. Here's a couple of pics of the solenoid set up. The first one shows the solenoid, bolts and mounting brackets. The 2nd pic shows the bracket mounted to the solenoid. The solenoid pulls into the body of itself. I really need help here! Lol.

does that kit use a cable? or does it use a rod, like a door lock actuator? If it uses a cable just pull the latch in the door so you know which direction it needs to be pulled. Then just mount that bracket in a straight line from that point.

Cochino - yeah, it uses a cable to pull the rod.
