I am in the process of changing all of the bushings out on my 67.
I wanted to get some feedback as to which type bushing I should go with.
I hear that the poly is hard and squeak.
I hear that the rubber ones break down, crack, and deteriorate.
So I wanted to get some opinions here before I make my purchase.
So what do you think??????

I'd do stock rubber for squeek free use alone. Lots of different opinions out there, so it's based on your driving style and doing what you can to not have them squeek if you go poly.

I have poly body mounts (PO installed)...they squeek. I sprayed them with white lithium while loosening and jacking up the body, but I doubt that will last long.

I guess it all comes down to what you are after. In the majority of bushings I have changed, I have gone to poly. I have never had an issue with squeaking, but I lather mine up with grease before installing, although I have been around others and heard their squeaking poly bushings.

My solution. Zerk fittings do wonders. Poly has worked great on all my vehicles otherwise try looking for polygraphite bushing kits or use graphite lube as well.

I say polyurethane, as they will last longer, and have always had good luck with them. There are pro / cons to everything though.

We are a direct Prothane dealer.Their products that are black in color have a slight hint of graphite in them.

Rubber will flex a little so it does help smooth out the ride but that flex can hurt handling and it wears out faster.The poly ones are hard so they last a long time flex almost none if you keep them lubed right they don't squeak that bad as some make them out to be.If its my daily driver normal truck i would use rubber if its a weekend ride or trying to make it handle better then i would use the poly ones.

Daily driving with urethane bushings isn't harsh at all. Your springs and shocks are supposed to do the work, not the bushings. If you ever carry any weight, tow or like improved handling, urethane is the way to go. If you lube them properly during installation, they don't squeak.

This is the way you want to go. If you want the durability of polyurethane with out the squeak, use poly-graphite bushing. They are graphite impregnated, and self lubricating. Problem solved...

Quick question I noticed that prothane has different part number for 4WD and 2WD trucks. But only one part number for the full kit. Is it universal or is it 2WD or 4WD specific.

I have a K5 (4WD) and want to make sure I get the right parts
