Removing interior door panel ? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have the handles, arm rest and 4 screws along the bottom out - but can't figure out how to get the panel out - it is still attached along the top behind the chrome trim piece. I don't want to just start pulling, as the panels are in good shape and don't want to damage them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have all the attaching hardware off. They do tend to stick in the upper chanels. If you can get the bottom out a little bit, just give it a smack sideways with the palm of your hand and it will probably break loose.

another question regarding removal of the door panels... how the heck do i get the window roller and the door lever off.. without busting them.. 71 c10

Any auto parts store should have the propper spring clip remover, but i just use a small pick i have to pull them off. When reinstalling put the spring clip in place and push the handle on and it will slide over and snap into place.

To get door/window cranks off simply slip a rag between the crank and door panel, use both hands and work the rag back and forth. The clips will pop off and crank comes off easily with no damage to the panel.

Thanks. ! found a custom tool especially for removing those clips. but a flat head happened to do the trick..
