sounds like a fun project --- you need a rumble seat in there made from the back 1.5' of a pickup bed too !

We use old fish aquiariums. Can be picked up cheap at garage sales.
All kinds of scenes can be made in them appropriate for your cars or trucks.
Get tops that fit them. Keeps dust and grandkids hands out too.

a freind of mine uses old shop fridges with glass doors, replaces the wire shelves with glass, disconects the compressor - so he still has the lights. and theyre sealed from dust..

The wife bought me a curio (spelling) cabinet for Christmas one year, and it works great!

I'll try to get a few pics tomorrow.

Re: How do you guys display your diecast cars?!

I like old wooden store displays. They are hard to find and expensive.I plan on making display cases from oak and glass or lexan.I`m considering making them to sell.My old house has alot of dust so cases are a must.

i dont display any ,first of all it show that you might be a redneck , J/K
two -its shows that you got some money

Re: How do you guys display your diecast cars?!

I have thre set ups, one in my office at work , another set up in the family room in the house which my wife does not approve (oh well) and the in my garage I have boxes full of them. I want to display most of them in my garage I just want to make some nice shelves and hopefully I could fit most of them. The ones I have repeated I am giving to my baby son and are going on his shelves in his bedroom once I get his room redone.

Re: How do you guys display your diecast cars?!

We have a cabinet with about 50 cars in it. Glass shelves, mirrors, stained wood, and lighting.

We need another cabinet too. There's a bunch of cars that we have that we can't display because we don't have room...
