hauling cab
was wondering if you can haul a cab in the back of a full size pickup? has anyone done this without destroying the cab?

YUP!! Turn the cab sideways and it fits in a Short Fleet just fine..

Just ask Kenny XXL i hauled cabs from Massachusetts to NC for him in the back of my 1999 FORD ranger and i just hauled one the other day

Yes...it can be done, even in a short bed truck. If your cab is a completed one, i would look into a trailer, this will damage it a little, but it can be done. I hauled one from Tx to Ohio like this, and then drove around town like that for a month untill i found a place to put it.

Yes, just put one in the back of Old Rusty C10's Ranger pickup. Even got one in the back of an 82 El Camino! If I could get it in that it'll fit in anything!

Hauling a cab in the back of the trucks works well. We set this one on 4"x4" wood under the rockers so that the AC would clear the bedside. If the rockers are not good you can stack your cribbing under the cab rails to get the right height. You will want to center the cab over the wheel wells.

I saw a cab today, being hauled on the backof a stepside. They had boards across the bed and the cab straped on top. It was a little scary---kind of top heavy!
We usually take the AC box off so it doesn't get damaged on the bed rail...probably simpler to just put wood under the cab. |
