shift linkage question

I bought a truck with no motor or trans. I am slowly but surely getting it back together.

I need part of the shift linkage on an automatic equipped truck. I need the piece that bolts to the transmission gear selector shaft its self that fits the piece that comes from the frame.I still have the rod that runs from the column to the frame, the frame bracket and the frame mounted linkage.

Sorry if my description is not too clear. I have never known the technical terms for these particular pieces.

That isn't inexpensive but you would probably spend more than that running around hunting for one. It seems that the shift arms for the GM automatic transmissions are one thing that are pretty much model specific.

I finally tracked down all of the parts for the shift linkage, but the stock TH350 bracket that bolts to the trans selector shaft is different from the 700r4 I am running. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than building my own "hybrid" piece?

I know you mentioned that you already have the rest of the linkage, but I found a kit made by Kugel Komponents, it's a universal kit that's suppose to fit all the Chevy transmissions, specifically the 700r4. It comes with everything you need, the selector lever, linkage rod, bushings, etc. I haven't used it personally, but I've read on here somewhere that others have used it with success. I found it on shiftworks.com, ECE also has it on their website. Hope this helps.
