Hubcap ID help

I picked this cap out of the pile at the local junkyard but am curious what it went on. The second pic shows it besides a mid 60’s super sport cap, which it resembles but I can’t find it online. Maybe an Impala hubcap but I don’t recall seeing one. It has a heavy steel base like the SS cap and is 14 inch.

Re: Hubcap ID help

Thanks. Looks like those listings are saying 68-69 Camaro but I don't recall ever seeing one.

Re: Hubcap ID help

There are some pretty cool 14 inch hubcaps out there, would be nice to fit them to my 15 inch wheels.

Re: Hubcap ID help

Never saw those on a car, ever, seeing as how they have six lug holes. YMMV. The early ('64 or so) SS wheel covers had 3 "spokes" and a center cap with the "SS" symbol on them, and a sort of dished middle. All 14", on my '64 Impala and '64 Malibu.

Your second pic is a later "mag wheel look-alike" used on Camaros, Novas and Chevelles. Possibly on the big Chevies, since they didn't get 15" wheels until '68 (I think). I used to have this info down cold, but have forgotten a lot of it, along with my 40+ year old college education. Good thing I'm retired.

That explains why I've never seen that wheel cover before with the Yenko C10 trucks having such low production numbers. Have heard of them but never seen one in real life.

Thanks for finding this posting. The instructions say they are for Chevelles and Camaros. but have never seen them on a car.
