Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I replaced the driver side engine mount on the wife's 4wd Yukon. That was a piece of .... design. I know who the designers work for and it isn't the mechanics who replace them down the line. Rolls eyes

I worked at an Auto assembly plant for several years.

They build everything they can in sub-assembly's.
The dash, frontend, and then the body is set down on the frame.

They don't think about how someone will get to it later

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Yeah. I had to drop the front diff to swap that mount after trying to do it from the tooside. Putting the diff back in was the chore. Maybe I won’t have to do it again while we have it.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Lately I forget the rims on toms are not for your knuckle. No reason to stop in the middle of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams however, I think it had enough with Hypnotized and just got worse from there. It's still a runner, must be the adrenaline I was about done anyway.

Personal memory, Dreams was the first song I tried drumming to, what a beautiful tune. Just once, at 14, on my brother's set. He'd have killed me if he knew, and besides, we lived in apts. at the time, I doubt the neighbors appreciated it much. I don't think I played again until I bought my first set at my own place, 8-9 years later.

I can't even imagine drumming in an apartment. I can wear headphones with my guitar. But no way with the drums. Can't turn them down. I get death threats when I play mine.

My neighbors kid was a drummer and my neighbor asked me if the drums bothered me. I said yes because the kid played better than me.

I have no idea about what you refer. Give me a brake

I've been on jury duty since Wed. Today should be the final day. Sorry, no pictures.

I got the stem wall poured a few weeks ago and let it set. This weekend I got the plate bolted down to complete that phase of "Project barn Move". Next will be prop wall, cut bottom off to height of stem wall, and set down on the blocking it will ride on over to it's new perch

Thanks on the place. I'm trying to stay at it till it's all caught up.

So I dug and poured the threshold for the garage door on my tiny garage. Not a priority but now it's ready for when I get a garage door to install. I decided since I can't do the whole slab right now to just do the step-down where the door sits. When we get a heavy rain water would run out of that drain back into the garage where the floor is dug down for the slab and flood it

I know those kids too, they were (*)^)(*^ intimidating for almost ever. I've gotten to the point drums come pretty easy though, 40 years on occasion will do that. Doesn't help to be self taught though, I don't read music, and never cared to sit with a band. My only complaint is the improvement arrived same as the arthritis in my thumbs, no big deal.

There's always room for improvement, better I play the more I realize I kind of sucked the status before never fails. They're a blast, though I only hit them about once a week, it's all my body can take

Very nice building. I am planning on building one. Not quite to that scale, but hopefully enough to get everything inside. The desert sun is brutal on paint and upholstery. I have garages that can hold 5 cars but I have so much junk that I can only fit 2 in them and I have 10 cars and a pool table. I need a building.

That apron really completes the garage. So nice to be just outside the doors on nice days. Great payment plan!

That's very well done. Kind of a mud room for your garage - a place to rinse them off before rolling them in. Looks great.

Made a 280 mile round trip to pick up a Western plow for my '03 Suburban. 13 mpg going with no wind and 15mpg return with a tailwind. I'm happy with that....

GM crate 350 with an NV4500 5 speed overdrive trans.

That's really good mileage for a tonner. Was that plow off another GM same style? It looks like the universal mount.

Yes, the plow was off of an '02 Chevy 2500 HD. It bolted right on my '03 2500 HD Suburban. It is a Uni-Mount.

Nice flatbed Leon.

My neighbor has a nice 69 or 70 C30 flatbed. I'd like to buy it off him but he never comes out these days. I think his health is not so hot. Too bad. He's a nice guy. I never saw it until recently. He has a lot of stuff on his property. I don't want to bug him but if I happen to bump into him I'm asking about the truck.
