What's it called? Need help...

For my 68 GMC with 250 six.

I've been looking all over the internet and all of the vendor parts that I have listed for the cover that goes on the bottom of the bellhousing. This is the sheet metal cover that protects the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.

I've heard it called flywheel cover or inspection cover, clutch cover or inspection cover, bellhousing inspection cover, etc.. I can't find one for my truck.

I bought one from somewhere about 8 years ago but for the life of me I can't remember where..

Is this it?
Haynes manual calls it a bellhousing cover.

That's the one in the pic. Unfortunately, not everyone calls it a bellhousing cover..

Like this site below.

Thnx.

Thumbs up Re: What's it called? Need help...

I found it! Went into my garage and looked around some old boxes. Lo and behold, there was the dust cover/flywheel cover that I had bought many years ago. I thought I had left it behind in one of the many moves I've made.

It's like hitting the jackpot since I haven't been able to find one on the internet.

Grats on finding it - it's also called an inspection cover, clutch inspection cover, dust shield and access panel, FYI.
