He says he "thinks" everything is there for it except the hood. front fenders included along with an extra, also the inner fenders. All the glass is there except the windshield. The dividers, tracks and regulators for the glass are inside the back and in the 55 gallon drum inside. He also thinks both bumpers are there along with the grille. Both front and rear doors are there and in good condition.

I'd be a little more than shaky on that one. That's a lot of rust, and who knows what else could possibly be wrong with it underneath the sheet metal. Also, sub parts seem to be a little less common, and therefore more expensive. Make for certain that all the doors and bumpers and glass dividers and all the "special" sub parts are actually with the truck. Now, that said, I'm not trying to to discourage you from buying the truck if that's what you really want. Just beware that a truck that looks fixable is often far worse under the surface. I know my truck sure was like that, and it was still in one piece. Now I've got it torn down to the frame to make repairs. But, like I said earlier, if it's really what you're looking for, go for it! There aren't a whole lot of those old subs on the road anymore, and it'd be good to see another one!

Further to the peppers thoughts: When you buy someone's disassembled project, I've always believed that you're acting out a subconscious need to punish yourself.

Also -- A 55 gallon drum! I don't know about you, but that's how I ALWAYS store my delicate pieces of irreplaceable glass!!

Brian

edit: Upon re-reading, I realize she didn't say the GLASS was in the barrel, just the tracks, etc. This speaks even more strongly to my first point.

Ive looked this thing over pretty well and noticed only the spots on either side of the firewall, the rockers and the left rear quarter. Most of the rust is "surface" rust and could be easily taken care of with a DA. I posted these pics because I thought yall might see the potential that I seen. I know its worth more than 150- 200 bucks. Thanks for your replies.

If you all think that is rusty, then I will be embarrassed to show close up pics of my burban!!! If you were closer, I would buy that in less than a heartbeat. That is considered very clean in New York area. If I had just the body I could junk mine.....
