Remanufactured tranny-good or bad?

Have any of you guys used a remanufactured TH350 from Discount Auto parts? It's $477 plus core. I thought that was a good price. Also 18 month warranty!! I'd like to put one in my 68 with a 283. Thanks, Jeff.

Don't worry, I'm sure you're wanted.......by someone.

Sounds like a good deal to me.....is converter included? That seems like a real good warranty......just read all the fine print. I'm sure it doesn't include removal of tranny and shipping if something does go wrong.

Regardless, a TH350 should live a long time behind a 283 if you take care of it.

Definitely make sure that they will stand behind their warranty!! if so, that's a really good deal!

Re: Remanufactured tranny-good or bad?

Thanks for the answers guys, I was beginning to think I was typing in clear. Yes, it comes with the converter. The parts guy said it was a real popular tranny and he hasn't had any come back, so I feel pretty good about it. Thanks again.

Re: Remanufactured tranny-good or bad?

Mine was a rebuilt unit from a major wholesaler. I mean that dealers and tranny shops across the nation send stuff there and buy refurb units. Mine has been working fine for many years and I don't exactly take it easy on it.

Re: Remanufactured tranny-good or bad?

I just had one put in with a better rebuilt torque converter, clutch thingies, higher stall, pads, Tansco II something or other...not bulletproof but on its was to being bulletproof...1500 smackers.

Had it done by a local shop.
