junkyard today

Found a junkyard near me today and the owner just purchased 35 67-72 trucks from a private owner. Only 4-5 there right now and nothing great on them except some decent bench seats. I did take a few pictures. He hopes to have all 35 in a week or two and I am praying for some bucket seats.

I will pay money if you find a complete heater delete setup for me. Keep me in mind when you go back.

Re: junkyard today

Problem I see so far is the 2-3 he has that are in pretty good body shape, but bed pans rusted like hell he wants to keep complete. Said he is looking for around 1000.00 per truck. So we will see once he starts rolling the other trucks in. I will get more pictures and keep post updated. Maybe someone will see something they like.

Re: junkyard today

If you see a R.F fender thats rust free let me know for a 72. I will make it worth your time somehow. If you decide to let us know where this place is I will buy you lunch or your favorite beverage of choice . Hopefully there is nothing in this post that is prohibited,if so mods delete it .

Re: junkyard today

Let me see if I get lucky and score a set of bucket seats and then I will be happy to tell everyone where the junkyard is. I could also scrounge around and try to find some parts for anyone interested. I trust almost everyone here, but sad truth is some people would jump in there and try to find stuff to resale for profit. I am just wanting buckets for my truck and then I will look for anyone else at no profit to me.

Re: junkyard today

Don't worry, I'm not looking to resell... just looking to complete a parts list so I can start building my truck!

And I would have no problem compensating you for your time.

Re: junkyard today

Hit the yard again today and here is a few pics. I did find a tilt column with cruise attached to the tilt lever. After market it looks. He has about 10 of the 35 pulled in right now.

Re: junkyard today

He said the trucks that are in good body shape he would like to keep complete. So far no buckets in anything. A few decent bench seats, but looks like almost everything he is bringing in has been stripped pretty good so far.

Re: junkyard today

Nice find! I understand your not wanting to spread the word on where these are at immediately, but I definitely wouldn't mind hearing the location once you find what you're looking for. I know of a few yards around here with 67-72s, but they're all mostly picked over of anything worthwhile. Down that way is a bit of a haul, but I don't go back to school for a couple weeks and I could definitely use some sheetmetal for the '68.

Again, nice find. Hope you find all the stuff you're looking for.

Yes, I did,
and if srea76 will ask how much for both I'd like to buy them off of him. I have a project that they would be nice for. There were 2 pictures showing it.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: junkyard today

If I get through there today I will ask about them. I did notice the lens was cracked and broke on both. They look like they are just laying on the truck and not attached.

I checked today. He wants 100.00 for the light bar. I got pictures of the one in better shape, but the siren is missing in middle. No idea if the lights work or not.
