Chopping 60-66 rear wheel tubs
I was wondering if anyone had pics of their chop/ sectioning jobs of stock rear wheel tubs. I have a raised bed floor and need to take 2 1/4” out of then to make them fit just under the bed rail. I’m interested in seeing where you cut, pie cuts on the radius etc. I found one pic from metloxfab, but I remember seeing one on the forum a few years ago that was split at the top and can’t find it again. Thank you.

Re: Chopping 60-66 rear wheel tubs
Here’s an update where I’m at. I was stuck with the stock footprint of the original wheel tubs so I had to chop from the top going down. Bed floor is done so I painted myself into that corner. Next I’ll start the widening of 3”. Things are slow going in this Vegas heat, but I’m pushing forward since these are the last major items to finish my build. I’ll post more as I finish this up if anyone is interested. Thanks for the input guys.

Here’s where I am now. I still need to sandblast, and mud everything but they fit great. I used mig to stitch them together then I will tig welded the seams with silicon bronze rod. I will post again as soon as I get time to paint them.
