My dad has been trying to talk me into chopping Ole' Yellow Jacket. Has anyone done this? Have seen these on 64-66's; but not on early 60's models. Anyone have pictures so I can make my decision?

I think this is the same truck, I don't really like that one but if you keep the rest of the truck classy I think you could pull it off. I vote chop it

Ha ha. Yea, my dad has been on me to chop and channel her 4 inches, and paint her flat black. RAT ROD HER. Just showed him the those few pictures, and he's here tell me all how to do it. ha ha. I agree with him on the suicide doors. Said fiber glass doors would be better and easier. Seen a few fellas with 60-63 trucks with suicde doors on here and they are alsome! The chop top is ok, but I am still "Eeah" about it. To much work! Ha ha.

I guess a chopped top and fiberglass doors means less weight, and the roof being lower will make it more aerodynamic. should improve track times lol

Man that yellow truck was so awesome when it was in raw metal. Such good work and then came the paint... I am a yellow paint hater so that ruined it for me. I thought I read it was getting re painted.

... and the curved painted on "chrome" did not work at all with the nice horizontal lines of a 60-66... imo they blew it w/ the first paintjob....
however, it is black now and looks good!
