47-55 Sloppy hood hinges

Is this normal or should I replace?

Re: 47-55 Sloppy hood hinges

How "sloppy" is an opinion so it's hard to say. They wiggle around a little bit on mine but once you get the springs on and stuff they are forced to stay more steady.

And it is also VERY common for people to think that the wear in the hinge is making it not let the rear of the hood come down where it is suppose to be. But that is most likely simply poor alignment. You need to rotate the hinges down in the back and it's an odd way to look at it. Even many pros don't get this adjustment. So if that's an issue go to these links and it will explain it.

That's normal when they're not actually connected to the hood.

Ok, that's great! One less thing to replace. Albeit those Eddie Motor Sports billet hinges are very tempting, but at $600 I'll pass!
