Alternator Not Lining Up....help

I got a 454 big block and the alternator is not lining up. New BB pullys New waterpump and new Alternator brackets. How long is the spacer under the alt. where the long bolt goes thru( thats not new and dont know what its from). Is there a spacer behind the upper bracket where it joines the waterpump? Any info will be helpfull.

The upper part of the alternator may be on the wrong side of the bracket. No idea how BB brackets go, but you may be able to put the top tab of the alternator on the outside of the bracket.

there are 2 differant lenght water pumps for the big block (yours looks like the long verson from the pic) Your alt bracket may be for the short version. The spacer for the long is 3.25"
