73-87 seat in 60-66

Hey guys, I picked up a mint cond seat that came from a 73-87 truck. I was driving by & saw a garage full of stuff was being cleaned out & taken to the dump, so they let me have this seat. Not that I needed it, but didn't wanna see it get tossed. My '65 now has a really nice custom seat out of a 67-72 in it, which was a direct swap. My question is basically what all is involved to put a 73-87 seat in a 60-66? I've saw ppl say they've done it, but didn't really explain how. I'm mainly just wanting to know so I'll know whether to hang on to it or what.

If it has the mounting brackets it shouldn't be much issue at all.

The '73-'87 mounting brackets, tracks will not work without modification. I would just remove them and install a set of '60-'66 brackets/tracks

I'm interested as well. My 82 parts truck has a really nice seat.

I don't know for sure since I have not done it. I just know that the '73-'87 tranck and mounts won't work. I would imagine that there will be some modification and adaptation necessary to make the '73-'87 seat bolt in.

It does take some fab work as mentioned, but here is what Jeremy did on his old truck.
