72 saddle tanks sender(or pump module) choice with return style lq4?

hey guys just wrapping up a few hours of searching with this thread before i go experiment at the junk yard.just wondering what you might do or if you have any ideas to get this part of the swap done.

i'm tentatively thinking of cutting up some newer chevy saddle tanks(full of water) to get the sender and port it locks into and welding it into the top of my tanks. my tanks are 10" deep and i don't know the dimensions of the 87? tanks or if i can mod them to be shorter if needed.

i'm not sure if the 10" tall camaro pump modules can be used with a return system or if the cost is too redicuous when you add in the vaporworks(or whoevers) weld in rings to mount them.

it seems the truck senders are too tall?(i'll have to verify that since my donor truck is long gone).

maybe just modify any old 73-87 saddle tank sender with a homemade slosh tray and ep381?

the tanks inc stuff is nice but spendy and has no fuel level sender.

heres a pic of a tank

anyway thanks guys,rick

so i got a little time to look at some 86 saddle tanks the seem to be 10" deep so i think i'll go ahead and get some 87 tanks if the dimensions are similar and cut out the top of the tank with senders and weld it onto my saddle tanks then follow glocks fred receipe.
