I see a 400 badge on there. This would be perfect for a 402 LS2 powerplant!

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
ok here is a little update... i havent got a super lot done cause i had surgery and been kinda taken it easy...but here is some progress non-the-less.
welded in the big peice of the firewall, did away with the mystery 'bump' on the firewall, welded in the round peice for the blower motor, still some final weld grinding i need to do, but you get the idea.....enjoy, and im feelin better so i can getta work on the hulk again... Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
Wow it took you since last year to duct tape a piece of metal to teh fire wall! And you started out so well!!
Happy NewYear you are off to a great start on that truck. The first out side pic looked great but as well all know it is whats on the inside that causes all the work. Are you going with new bed sides or are you going to cut down the long bed sides? Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
the bedsides will be good solid (fingerscrossed) orignal shortbed ones....with new aftermarket tubs, cross seals, (possibly) front bed pnl, and a nice wooden bed......it has a nice longbed that im sure 71HULK will post it for sell, if he chooses..
SLAMMED1 thats what we'll be doing too, i agree it doesnt look right just left un-symetrical....we'll also be capping the wire gutter, like rokcrln does (but not a 45* slant) |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
Nice ride killer71,my 72 would have been decked out like yours with all the stock trim and all but a small accident of me backing my Jeep Wagoneer into the frt of the truck and ruining a pristine 72 grille shell beyond repair. I found a 68 complete frt clip rust free for 50.00 when the 71/72 outer shells at the time were well over 300.00 alone. Yours is done very nicely, props to you.
68shortstep, that truck was a 25 footer for sure after seeing the damage you found........the on the trailer picture made the truck look like it was a cherry.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
Hey who's in charge of the shop grounds...I don't like all of that clutter over there on the left! Tell the boss to get it cleaned up so we'll have room for some parts!

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK
todays progress was cut out some more rusted metal... the flange that the peice was spot welded to was corroded on the bend.. so it was cut out and is gonna get a new peice..... also i started to lay down some body filler ( still need to sand it)... once i get the filler level ill prime that area and start with makeing the cab symetrical.... here are a few pics
