Factory parts?

Hey my name is Ryan Burks and I'm 15 years old and love classic Chevys. I recently just bought my first truck to fix up which is a 1972 k10 Cheyenne. There are some parts on it that I'm not really sure if they are stock or add ons.... First I noticed how big the drive shaft is on a half ton.... Is it stock...?
Next the rally wheels.... I'm not sure if these are the wheels that came out of the factory or not.
Last the clearance lights.... They do not show up on the parts list in the glove compartment but they look too perfect to be done by somebody. If someone could help me with these questions that would be great. Thanks!

You want to click the manage attachments button under additional options. Make sure your pics aren't too big.
I have a 1/2 ton (I was 16 when I got it) and the drive shaft looks to be over 3 inches in diameter, pretty sure that's how they came.
The rally wheels if they are 5 hole are most likely aftermarket. Hard to tell without pics though.

The roof under the clearance lights should have a raised bump. I think the wheels are later model and the driveshaft is correct for a 4x4

Welcome aboard -

Drive shaft looks stock.

The Rally wheels you have shown are an optional wheel for the '75 - '91 Chevy/GMC full size trucks (known as C/K through 1986; "R/V" from '87 - '91). In addition to what you have shown there it would use a small stainless capped acorn style lug nut.

Relative to that "parts" label: That is called the SPID label (Service Parts IDentification label). I should add that the actual RPO (regular production option) code is the three position alpha numeric in the center (ie, V76, P01, LS9 etc). You may disregard the leading and following characters in most cases.

Cab high running lights are RPO U01, which I don't see on the SPID, so my guess is those have been added (which demonstrates how the SPID is used ).

You do! It's pretty neat and factory. It's also got factory tow hooks on it to which I have never seen on a 67-72!

Belt molding is the molding running the length of the truck just below the side mirrors.

to the board from another young teenager (im 16) with a blue and white 72 chevy truck! I have the 2wd twin of your truck! Looks like a very clean truck with come nice options. What are your plans for it?

Sweet! And I'm wanting to restore it back as original as I can! And since its a 4x4 I will probably lift it an inch or two! Your truck looks really clean! Super nice!
