Parts store AC conversion kits

Has anyone tried those kits the parts stores sell for $50 to convert to 134? Kits look pretty straight forward. Can it really be that easy?

Thank you for the help. Do the seals come in most kits? Or are they vehicle specific? What is the reciever dryer? Thanks again and sorry for the dumb questions
