I think I remember seeing on my SPID, that my truck came with some sort of custom cloth interior. Are these visors factory, or something else? Also, my bench seat has some fabric areas in between the vinyl that matches the fabric on the visors. There was also a fabric piece covering the dash pad, that seemed to match. It was glued into the seam pretty well. I ended up yanking out the dash cover, because it was old, crusty, and dusty.

Lmfao! I know, right? I've been wanting to replace them, but new ones are like $75 for the pair. Gives me a thought though...if these are not factory, the original visors might be underneath and in pristine condition. I'll have to see if I can take them apart

On the contrary, I do believe these ARE original. Some models, very few as we know, came with the rare corvette option. This however, is the even more rare Cadillac option.

PS... If some guy's wife did sew those up for him, he's got one cool wife!

Very common back in the 70's to re-do visers, door panels and dashes actually.

In my opinion....you should bust some seams and see what is underneath the missing bath towel. I'm betting that the originals were just covered and the OEM visors are in good shape.

What do you have to lose? Nothing. And, you'll gain a couple of BBQ pot holders.

BTW: the custom cloth was in lieu of the vinyl...meaning that the seat had cloth on it, either as an insert for the left and right seating positions, or the entire seat and back surfaces were cloth. It still had vinyl on the sides and back. But, the "custom" part of the interior did not mean that someone ordered a custom interior. Those covers on the visors are definately NOT GM.

WOW! Who's laughin now!! Ha! Those visors (the originals) are preserved like a time capsule. The oldies look like classic diamond tuck - seems every hot rod had it (in black vinyl usually) back in the 70's. I'm kinda glad (now, in retrospect) that I could never afford it back then!
