saddle bag gas tanks
The panel I have use to my grandfthers. He had a set of saddle bag gas tanks on it. Yes filling up now would take good weeks pay. I would like to find some to go back on it. I have one but it being 40 years old i would like to replace with new ones.Besides with 48 cent per gallon tax in NC filling up when out of state could be good savings.
Problem have no idea where he got them at. Wondering if anyone here knows who sales them. Need for 69 panel. I think they where 30 gallon each. |

If they are just surface rusted I would clean them out and use an etcher and tank sealer on them. I haven't seen anywhere that reproduces these as most were aftermarket back in the day.
When I custom built my GMC's tank I used this tank sealer kit, bought at a local store but you could buy it online as well.

Not steel tanks they are plastic. I can build steel or ss tanks no problem. Just wanted to simplify it. Be nice to buy something once and while instead of making everything. Normally its because I want something custom made to be differant. The one of a very few times Im ready to just buy it I can't find it.

I see now, I haven't seen plastic tanks before. Maybe throw up a picture and somebody will recognize it or have an extra.
