4 wheel drum brakes and bigger wheels ?

The 68 I bought has 4 wheel drums , if I put a set of 18in aluminum wheels on the truck do you think that's ok ? The truck seems to stop great with the factory steelies

Don't see why only bigger wheels would make much difference - only the difference of any added weight/inertia, but if your overall tire height doesn't change a lot I don't see it having much affect.

that's what im thinking , plus im betting the weight wont be a whole lot different being aluminum vs steel
