Dash Pad

I removed the dash pad today and was just going to leave it off but looked at it and it has a metal liner underneath, so I stripped the padding away.

Thinking of finish stripping and paint and return to truck.

That might be pretty cool, are you going to fill the holes?

Go ahead and try it. Post a pic after, so we can decide if you made a mistake or not

With the holes filled (would probably be easier to roll a piece of sheet metal and weld it in), I think it would look great. Cant say I am a fan of the way it is now.

The dash pad as a "safety" feature always makes me laugh. You should use 3 pt belts to begin with

You need to talk to my friend Steve who lost his two front teeth in the dash of a '64 Impala. The dash has his teeth marks in it to this day...
