1965 Chevy 2 door Crew Cab (Craigslist)
***Not mine*** http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/5284371243.html
This is a retired State truck, original 2 door crew cab, built by a limo company as done back then, not home done. Very rare. Mostly original except usual maintenance stuff, yes original cig burns in back seat included. 230, 6cyl, 4 on floor, runs, drives, also a spare parts c10 w/ 292 auto that ran and drove when parked. Odometer says 35,000 miles, has original shocks and clutch even. I do have some spare parts also, I am close to the Monroe fairgrounds. Price is $8,000 or trade for economy car or interesting vehicle, clear title in hand, can be driven home... Did I mention this type of truck is very rare? Call or email with questions. 425-876-9600 http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/5284371243.html

Re: 1965 Chevy 2 door Crew Cab (Craigslist)
I myself would be interested in it. I've seen it posted for sale on and off over the last couple years. However, it always seems to have a price about double (or more) what I would be willing to spend on it in that condition. If it were 3K to 3500, I think I'd jump on it. I hope he finds someone to buy it at his price, but I kinda doubt it.

Without rear doors, it really does nothing for me.

Would be interesting to restore for sure. Hope whoever gets it doesn't ruin it.

Re: 1965 Chevy 2 door Crew Cab (Craigslist)
It'd be interesting to know if they used a Suburban roof panel, or pick-up truck.
I wonder if it has any Suburban panels on it. Seems like that'd have been an easy way to cut down the cab originally: Start with a Suburban and install a factory cab back panel. -Brad

I love these trucks but that thing is UG-LY (FUGLY?). There is a good reason why it's so "rare"

Quote:
I had thought that they used sub parts, or should have, until I found out how tall a sub roof is above the drip rail- compared to a truck. These pics of cut down subs kind of show how the shortening exaggerates the height of the sub roof crown.
