wiring question

I am hooking up a L.E.D brake light / license plate light with 5 wires (red, 2 white, 2 black) to tail lights with two wires (black and white) No instructions included. I got the brake light to work but can't find the combination to make the license plate light work. Anyone ever hook one of these up?

Re: wiring question

The license light is tied into the tail light circuit You may need to run a ground wire back to a good ground for it though.

Take your test light and make sure you have power to the license light when you have the lights on and if you do it is most likely the ground.
