LQ4 and 4spd manual trans in my 71 C10

I Just picked up a 71 C10 from Maryland with no rust, newer interior and an 8 year old paint job. Not bad for $2,900 bucks, I think....

Im looking to make a fun street truck that will still perform decent at the drag track.
Engine/Drivetrain - Plans are to go the LSx swap route, Planning on LQ4 since that is where all my experience is from my NBS truck.

Haven't made my mind up yet on Carb or Fuel Injection, ( I do already have a LS stand alone harness and ECU for Fuel Injection). Looking to make around 400-500rwhp all said and done.

I'm really liking the 4 spd manual NP-440 (A833), and want to keep it manual. Anybody running an a NP-440 (A833) 4spd behind a LSx how do they hold up?

I read an article saying to use a Sachs 1050 flywheel on the LS and an 11" old school clutch bolt holes would work.

Im also looking for best headers to use in the 71' year with manual transmission linkage in the way.

Other than that ive been driving her around "as is" with the SBC and I love it, Nice riding truck. Going to be a fun project

I put an NP833 behind a 5.3. I have details in a thread somewhere, just search NP833, A833 or MY6. There is a cheap combo of parts that will get the job done.
