20x12 rear wheels

Hey ladies and gents, so I decided to go 20x12 in the rear any thoughts on what size tire I'll need like a 315x45xR20?

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

315/25.4*.45

12.4" wide
5.58" sidewall (x2 +20)
31.16" overall

Hope this helps.

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

Well the wider the tire the taller the sidewall will be even if you compare it to a tire with the same sidewall ratio.
For example a 405/25/24 will have a thicker sidewall than a 225/25/24. just a Bit of info in case you didnt know.

Idk if your worried about ride quality or anything but I would go with like a 325/30/20 i think it would have a beefy enough sidewall.

Silver Vet: 20x12 = 325/25/20
So a 30 would be a little thicker

Most run a 335/35-20 wide tire.
You are going to be subject to whatever is available.

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

Couldn't find ANY 335's on TireRack.com.

The cheapest 315/35-20 was $272 each.

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

Had 335 30 20 on another vehicle - like the others have said alternatives a little limited and they are pricey - the tires I had were about $500 each I think. Been wanting to to the same on my truck but everytime I think about it don't want to spend the extra $$.

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

Smaller aspect ratio usually = higher price.

Realizing some like the smaller sidewall, I have just never been a big fan of it. Something about a $1000 billet wheel running ~3 inches from the pavement / potholes etc. .. and the harsh ride. About 40 or 45 is as low as I will go.

I like that toyo tire is it a proxes? I would like maybe a 325x45 R20 tire or maybe 335x40xR20. Any links to places that would have these tires?

That's the problem.
You are wanting tire sizes that don't exist.
335/30-20's are the closest size, at more than $500 each for the cheapest.
http://tires.tirerack.com/tires/335%2030%2020

I would look at these:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Mickey-Thompso...d=#moreDetails

29" tall and 13" tread width.

But they still suggest a 13"-14" rim.

That seems expensive. You could probly find those tires cheaper locally. I know the perellis that are 405/25/24 retail for about $750ea but i have found them from $400-$500 at several places. And Lolife is right. Your asking about tires that dont exist as far as i can tell all the tires i found more than 315 wide only come in like a 30series or smaller

Re: 20x12 rear wheels

Yah I hear you guys. There is a silver c10 in street trucks magazine and he is running 20x10 rims in the rear with Goodyear 305x50xR20 so since I'm running 20x12 trying to get close to that look!
