2002 dash swap.. Anyone done it?

Bought a 02 dura crew with bad motor. Going to put 89 crew on 02 frame with the duramax allison combo. I think using all the 02 wiring might be the thing to do but I can assume it will be fun has anyone done a 99 up dash swap?

Was a K5 on cl here a few weeks ago that had an escalade front end grafted on (imagine cutting the OE fender in 1/2 and the escalade fender in 1/2 and joining them) and they also put the dash and steering column in. Looked meh, totally out of place.
