attn: 67 and 68 owners

Need Pictures of the radiator support mounts that are on the frame. Possibility that mine might have been hole cut to accomadate different mounts. Any pictures of virgin mounts will do me wonders.

Thanks guys,
Dan

If you are changing the rubber mounts with a cab mount kit that also contains the radiator supports and it doesn't look like it fits or causes alignment issues with the front end you possibly got a kit that has 69-72 radiator supports mounts.I know the kits say 67-72 but the rad sup mounts are different.
Just a thought on why you are asking.

Here are the left and right side of my '68.

Don't mind the dirt, I had some fun last weekend. The other stuff is what I call "surface rust"

thank you both. As the kit being bad or the wrong one, I'm finally past that nightmare (thanks board and brother's trucks). The holes just seem like they have been made bigger like the PO already made that mistake.

Thanks for the pics but I need a pic of the hold on the mount W/O the assembly. I am curious as to the size of the hole.

thanks again

Of course, the tab with the large half-dollar sized hole is the support I think you're asking about.

Hope that does you wonders If not, check out my gallery and look for more pics (it's running a tad slow right now for some reason): http://satellitehead.com/gallery

Shift here's a question...If a bolt is the the only thing to pass through why is the hole so big? the 67 and 68 mounts don't have a raised portion the the rubber mount like the 69-72 pcs.

Thanks again

Re: attn: 67 and 68 owners

the hole is so big (i assume) so you can actually move the front clip around when you go to bolt up.

think about it - if it's a static, tiny hole to fit that 7/16" carriage bolt, you can't move it forward/back/left/right/diagonal, so it really isnt' conducive to somewhat flexible factory tolerances.

this is just my thought.

by the way - ALL of the body mounts on the truck are that large. All body mounts use large washers and/or rubber bushings to compensate.
