10 bolts

I have an 87 k-10 longbed. It has 31's on it and I plan on going to 33's. It is not going to receive any more power mods besides maybe headers and some other bolt ons so basically a factory tbi 350. My question is will the 10 bolts hold up to some light 4 wheeling. I am going to regear, lockers or ls, and heavier axles. I just want to know if they will hold before I put money in them.

Re: 10 bolts

Yes they will hold up fine doing some light wheeling.Just don't get carried away the 10 bolt axel shafts are not known for there stregenth. I would rathe have a 10 bolt rear rthat a 12 bolt anyway. The 10 bolt has larger pinion bearings and tend to last longer.
