Gauge Cluster Gremlins

I recently put a CST cluster in my truck and did the rewire following GMCPaul's instructions. My turn signals/hazards work great when the headlights are off. When the headlights are on the signals switch sides (when you have the left blinker on the right one blinks and vice versa) Also, the hazards don't flash on the cluster when the headlights are on. This problem is only in the cluster; everything works as it should on the exterior regardless of the headlights being on or off. Thanks for your help.

Re: Gauge Cluster Gremlins

the printed circuits on the back of cluster have been known to cause Gremlins. Check carefully for broken on dirty wires. Grease and oil make good conductors and current can pass thru to another circuit.

Re: Gauge Cluster Gremlins

check for a bad or broken ground on the printed circuit or, you may need to ground the case of the cluster to your truck for proper operation. The trucks came with a ground clip from the factory and most do not replace it....Randy
