30 ohm sending unit

using stock tank with stock 30 ohm sending unit changing gauge to 12v will that sending unit work ? do i need resister or 90ohm sending unit or both thanks

I did a quick search and found this

thanks alot for quick response so if your using stock gauge and sending unit that match it makes no difference to sending unit if gauge is 6 or 12v correct? so in other words if i change my 6v gauge to a 12v gauge i wouldnt need a resister?
