October 2012 TOTM
Keeping with the upcoming holiday holiday, the theme for October’s Truck of the Month contest is.
Back in Black! So to see what it takes to be a nominee this month, the truck will need to meet these criteria:
You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the year of the truck, and any other specs of the truck (interior details, engine/drive train specs) that you may want to provide. Nominees will run through September 23. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. I normally use 1 picture showing a good front-side view and 1 with a rear view of the vehicle in the voting threads. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by September 24 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of October 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of October 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: October 2012 TOTM
I'll put up my 1976 Silverado short fleet with factory sport mirrors and bumper. She is still wearing all of her original body panels finished in black lacquer and factory red interior from the dash to the carpet, but if you didn't know better you might not suspect her September 1975 build date, putting many late model trucks to shame... as we all know they certainly don't build them like this anymore.
Being a Georgia truck since new my bet is she must be a Dawgs fan and letting her colors show. She's a survivor that has yet to have her valve covers cracked open, and her rubber hoses still show their GM markings. Powered by a smooth 350 4bbl with her only modification being custom tru duals using the factory exhaust manifolds for a nice rumble, an easy shifting th350, and finishing off with her 12 bolt rear end, its as much fun to drive her as look at her Last edited by 79 silverado; 09-16-2012 at 01:11 AM. |

Re: October 2012 TOTM
Markeb01 already holds a prize,
so my first thought was likaroc. But since oem4me already nominated him, I'll nominate LDO's 66 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=black

Re: October 2012 TOTM
I was just going over Likaroc13's new build thread and noticed that his truck may not be eligible because he's just finishing up a suspension upgrade and it and might not be able to move under it's own power yet. Well roc.. ya done yet?

It must be together and able to move on its own power. The truck has to be licensed for street use. Even though I have what I would consider some pretty decent pictures before the modifications, it's currently not able to move under it's own power.

Re: October 2012 TOTM
What no 67-72's? Can't happen, so I nominate my son's bagged short '68. Firedog had named "Back In Black." 350 SB, Custom made black buddy buckets and interior. Sitting on Boss 18's I think. Hope everyone enjoys this sweet lil custom truck as much as we do.

Re: October 2012 TOTM
As much as I love the 67-72s, this truck just makes me drool and have TONS of regret. I sold a Blue version twin of this truck back in 2001 and have regretted ever since. It was a BEAST!
