Decoding stamped number on my 454

I want to know if the 454 in my truck is original or not. I checked on the stamping pad under the alternator and found the number CFS122531. Anyone have any info on this? All I've been able to find is muscle car stuff. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You should be able to find a spot in that same area where the last 6 digits of the VIN are stamped. Sometimes they're tougher to read, they're not stamped with the same stamper that does the series you posted.

I think the C means its out of a car. I had a that had some weird looking manifolds, thought it was from a car. Checked the numbers up front, started with a T, means a truck.
