Strange tool
This popped up on FB and normally I just scroll past these ads but this stopped me in my tracks. My brain twitched when I tried to comprehend how this could be useful. It turns wrenches into crows feet and I can't imagine a more cumbersome way to turn a nut or bolt. At $50 you could buy a set of crows feet. If anyone owns this im not making fun but just saying there's better tools out there

Re: Strange tool
Welp - that's not gonna work.
Not as a "torque wrench adapter", anyway, because if you put the torque wrench in the square hole you are changing the moment arm the force is acting upon. K

Re: Strange tool
I don't see either, just a gimmick. You cannot put that kind of force on an open end wrench anyways without it slipping or wanting to spread. some thing like this would be more useful--- https://www.oreillyauto.com/flux-cap...lux+capacitor+

Re: Strange tool
Obviously designed to access fasteners with zero direct access above the head.
Not sure I would like to pull 100 ft pounds on one of those open end wrenches !

Re: Strange tool
After a bit of web search, this gizmo comes with a conversion chart to deal with the offset of the torque wrench. Not going to be exact but might be better then tighten by feel.
Agree on the dangers of trying to put a 100 ft/lbs on an open end wrench. Most times when I try pulling that hard, blood leakage starts when the wrench slips. |

Re: Strange tool
This may be TMI, but fr myself, the wrench doesnt have to slip for blood leakage to occur....darn blood thinners!
