Hey you! Yes the one ignoring this thread. You probably should open it and read it.

Posting this here because it is the area we get the most replies to notification emails from.

I understand a lot of it is using phones to read the site, as half say "sent from my iphone, sent from android" etc But the email themselves do not change.

If it is a thread notification email, it says

Quote:
********** PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL**********

Text Dear ************,

midniteblues has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - *********? - in the The 1967 - 1972 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Message Board forum of The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network.

This thread is located at: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/**********
A PM notification email
Quote:
********** PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL***********

To read the original version, respond to this message, or delete the message, you must log in here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/private.php

Dear ******,

You have received a new private message at The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network from*********, entitled "Re: *******".

This is the message that was sent: ***************

My email box is once again getting clogged with folks replying to these. Its really annoying plus, I am the only one that sees them... You end up losing out on deals, missing key parts of threads, and generally making a mess.

Please take the time to actually read the emails before replying. If you read something, and it says DO NOT REPLY, and you reply.. we all do it every now and then. However, I am getting several a day from the same folks. As discussed before, if you do so on a regular basis, we will simply remove your email subscriptions. Not to be assy, but to keep it fair for those whom email real issues, and get lost in the mess.

Thanks.

If I am ever fortunate enough to get a phone that will I will remember your words.

Keep up the good work.

Liz,I read this last night right after you bumped it for the night crowd.I knew it didn't pertain to me as I don't use e-mail notification and my phone is not smart enough to get the internet.Like the way you changed the title, can't miss it now.

haha thank you again. It really does not bother me most times. Lately with the influx of cel users it has gotten insane though. Aside from the fact that we have to sift through these to get to regular mail.. I hate to think folks are missing information in deals etc.

Re: Hey you! Yes the one ignoring this thread. You probably should open it and read i

Well, I came in here to poke fun at some people for replying to that notification email like noobs, but after trying to access the account I use here, realized some of this may be my fault.

When I first registered, you did not allow GMAIL accounts, and It seems AOL had decided to delete the account I use for this site... I almost never access that old account, maybe once or twice a year. I imagine any notifications sent to that address would bounce back to you. I just now updated my email to my primary address so hopefully that should stop them from me. The old email was an @wmconnect.

Sorry for being a noob.

That's what I do, I clic on where it says "this thread is located etc..", it takes me directly to new post. I only receive an update when a new post is made whether I'm on my laptop or phone. I never hit reply or respond. I'm assuming we need to continue to clic the link and not reply. If this is wrong someone let me know. I can't imagine how going to the link would cause a problem but if it does I will change my ways!
