Scored
I think i scored. I bought this set on that crazy evil auction site (no promo). I have a set of chrome vette rallys on my 68 currently but have become tired of the look so I figured OLD SCHOOL for a couple of years and maybe go back to them. How much do you think these should run to polish?
This site is great. I tell all kinds of people but they think I'm crazy for having an old truck. Mine runs and I don't have to smog it! HA! Last edited by Rdrdave; 04-06-2007 at 12:33 AM. Reason: photo |

Re: Scored
I'd rather be crazy than boring. Driving a new car completely controlled by 30 different onboard computers made mostly out of plastic.
No clue the cost to clean those up but they're cool. |

Re: Scored
Product called Wenol I think thats how its spelled and some time. I love the stuff I picked mine up at carlisle Pa swap meet and I think you can get it in parts stores . I love the stuff. Like 15 or 20 bucks for a kit with buffs and all at the swap meet. BTW I love the old school slots myself.

Re: Scored
Wenol?
Is that what the guy with the headset at the carshow is selling? I always assumed it was a knife set that cut through a Coke can and then a tomato. My bad. |

Re: Scored
Thats probably it. It really isn't one of those as seen on TV things that does not work once you buy it. I have used it on alot of different things and I love the stuff. RJ22

Re: Scored
Save your ralleys for when you want to change the look. Every truck needs more than one set of wheels...think accessorize...does your ole lady have just one pair of shoes? I luv those old slots!

Re: Scored
Is their a brand name on the back side of those rims? Mind if I ask what you got them for. I have a set of 8.5" that are 5 lug "US Mags" that I just pulled off my truck and may get rid of for some more parts for "Low Buck".

Re: Scored
the easyest way for a quick clean up before getting into full polishing is to use brillo it'll take the heavy oxidation off quick and easy then you can use polish to increase the shine

Re: Scored
Thanks everyone...They are staggered. 14x6 fronts and 15x10 rears. I paid 2 bills for them. I've always loved the front runners and wanted 3.5s but i need the 2" backspacing due to my disc brakes. The fronts are US Indys and the rears are no names.
Ay, Stllookn, I told my wife what you said. She said she doesn't have enough shoes and if I keep it up, she'll take half my truck! |

Re: Scored
I have a whole lot of Wenel by the way. If I can get out of the "honey-do" list I'll try it on these.
