Nice set of wheels, love those stepsides. Thats the color of grey my truck was when we purchased it. Now tell me where did you get your door panels done? Love the flames, it would go great with the ghost flames that my son is going to paint on my 82.

i did the interior at my shop. they are the stock pannels i just shaved the arm reast off of them and recovered them in tweed with the flames my friend cut out.

BTW: What size tires are those? I have a 3/5 drop on 255/55 17's, and it doens't look anywhere near that low!

the tires are 255 60 15. i don't normaly have my windows up becuase i have no a/c but when i have to put the windows up i pull it by the door handel.(it's kinda complicated so i just don't put the windows up all the way). the next thing i'm going to do is put some newer chevy bucket seats in there when i can find them.

Those door panels look great, I had the same idea. My '74 has the smaller panels though. The drop looks good too!

Nice truck! A couple of quick questions about the door panels. You say your friend cut the flames out. What did he cut them out of? And how do you apply the fabric? I'd love to know. Thanks.

i got the tweed from a local interior shop. i used 1/4 inch closed cell foam form the flames and used comtact cement that i got from the interior shop.

Drop and interior look good! Can you post some more pictures of your truck?

I noticed your fuse block setup.
I have the same fuse block for my amps, but no longer use the Fosgate fuses. They are JUNK!
One had the cap come loose. The fuse looked good, but it wasnt connecting because the loose cap.
The other just wouldnt allow power to flow through it.
Never did figure out what was wrong.
When those fuses go bad (if they are fosgate). Go to radio shack and get theirs, they last much longer with fewer issues.

For those thinking about tweed interior:
A friend of mine does tweed and did his '81.
Looked almost just like this truck, wheels, color, and all.
He did everything, dash, doors, seat, roof, etc.
Within a year the part where your arm rests on the door (where the window comes out) was starting to wear a lot.
He didnt drive a lot either. But when he did thats where he rested his arm.
If yours is a daily driver you may want to consider this.
A couple other friends with tweed had similar issues with it wearing or getting real stiff in "high traffic areas". Looked dirty. After cleaning it, it kept its stiffness, but looked clean. Kind of weird.

Tweed looks great though, but may not be the best choice for a daily driver. After talking with a few friends I decided not to go that route and thought I would pass this on to a few of you.

For those of you that still want to go with tweed, keep an eye on EBay. I just won an auction for a few yards of Taupe colored tweed for $5.60 + shipping. I'll end up getting about 25 sq feet. I'm not sure how much material is needed to do door panels and dash, but I figure I can find someone locally who can get hook me up with some matching tweed or get a different color to accent it.
