Talking New motor is in!!!!!!!!!!

After a little bit of grunting And cussing I got the new motor in. Not running yet, But getting really close. Hopefully in a couple of weeks. Thanks to john(junkyardjohn) for his expertiece knowledge about big blocks and such. Well anyway thought I'd share a couple of pics. JIM

Sweeeeet! Big blocks rule! I used to be a mouse man until I put the port injected 454 (long story, maybe I'll tell it some time) in my 67 Chevelle. There is simply no replacement for displacement!

I like chrome against the orange...I would stay with chrome on the valve covers.....

Powdercoat them gray or silver to match the intake, do the aircleaner the same color too.

Lookin good...I can't wait to fire up my BB either!

I'm a chevy orange and chrome/polished aluminum man, or if its a serious business only look orange and the cast competition style valve covers and intake and then braided stainless hoses.
