pre '72 steering stabilizers???

I would like to put a steering stab. on my 71 4x4, but before '72 the front axle doesn't have the bracket that it attaches to, or the "notch" in the connecting bar?

what did you guys use and is there a kit for that?? I thought about just rigging one up, but if I could find a kit, i'd put the kit on.

Thanks
Jason

Sure seems that Rancho has a full kit that works. If not, throw a post out on the parts board, surely someone has a 4x4 parted out that had those brackets.

I am using a Rancho setup on mine but with the original stabilizer brackets. Do upgrade to the better shock rather than just the base one that usually comes with the setup.

Try pm'ing member gregsplace - he has lots of stuff.

I will have brackets for a double in a couple of months. I would think aftermarket shocks should have all the brackets.

Jason,

I have a brand new Skyjacker steering stabilizer kit that I bought and never used. Comes with brackets, shock, and directions. I think they sell new for about $60, I'll take $40 + shipping.
