decking 317 castings

I want to take my lq4 from 9.5:1 to 10.5 or 11:1, I was hopeing I could get this by decking the heads. If I took .030 off the head gasket surface how much would that shrink my chambers?

Re: decking 317 castings

30thou is about what most are saying gets them into the 10.5 range. you going to do anything else like valve job/etc b/c that factors in too.
dont forget to change your valve springs.
