Woodgrain dash and glovebox door. Make sure the tags are on the glovebox door and that they match everything. Possibly a build sheet in the seat. I am sure others will have more. Eric

thanks eric i have had over 200 67/72's but never had a cheyenne super before. it's a lwb with 350 eng/350 trans wood grain bezel & glove box a/c that works head liner.

Yes. the option codes inside the glove box door. Since it is easy to switch a glovebox door, make sure it is listed there and in the door jamb on the VIN tag and the title. It should also have the cheyenne options also. Headliner, cargo light, woodgrain lower trim, stainless around the front and back glass etc.

You can tell if it`s a true Cheyenne or Cheyenne Super.It`s easy to ake a Cheyenne into a Super.So,you have to rely on the SPID.If that`s missing...???
If you are pretty sure it`s the original glovebox door,a Cheyenne would have been plain with no holes on the face.Maybe if you could remove the woodgrain and emblem you could tell if that was added.The hole would have been in it before paint.Also,there would be two sets of glue trails on the applique.

If you look on my SPID you will see the next to last option in the right column says "Cheyenne Super Spor"

CST/Cheyenne code is Z84. Code for Super is YE9.

It would be correct with either code if it was a Super, certain Spid's had Custom Sport Truck and some had Super, but like I said, I think most of those are on 71's and I am not sure on the 72's. Like I said, they are correct. I have seen quite of few Spid's over the years on here to prove that case. For the most part though Bill, the spid will pretty much be the only proof if it was a Super, but like Eric said, the glovebox doors and woodgrain door panels can be changed out rather easily, so without the original Spid, it could have been a custom/10 or 20 to begin with. Well, I went back and checked some old threads, I was a little off. The Z84 option would be considered correct for a Cheyenne Super, but ONLY if a 71-72. Anything before that could not be a Super or a Cheyenne. Anybody else see that 69' swb 4x4 on ebay this past week that was called a 69' Cheyenne? One of those rare corvette option trucks. Trevor
