Question 292 l6 nv4500?

Gotta 292 L6 with a manual 4spd and what I think is 410 rear end, dunno for sure but top speed of 65. Will a NV4500 bolt up to the old L6? Just would like to have more speed for the highway but still have the power to pull. Anyone know ?

Advance adapters sell everything you need to do a swap except the nv4500 it self. Do a search in the 4x4 section , plenty of conversion threads.

Re: 292 l6 nv4500?

I got a Camaro T5 hooked up to my 292 but I'd like something with a little more first gear

Re: 292 l6 nv4500?

The NV4500 was used in both 2 and 4 wheel drive trucks with GVW of 8500 pounds and greater.

The 3500 is a fine trans for a driver half ton or whatever, but for real heavy duty work, the NV4500 is what you want.
