Talking so, i bought a 3rd truck

1980 1/2 ton swb 4wd lifted on 35's. it has a really strong 350 that sounds mean as hell, the guy i'm buying it from didn't do the work to it so i'm not sure what the specs are in it. new transfer case. new 12 bolt. new alternator and battery. pretty straight body. has a couple of rust spots, but that just gives me a reason to start learning sheet metal with the new welder its has some minor stuff that needs addressed but mechanicaly its all there.

heres the deal on it, i bougth it from a guy i work with. his license is revoked so he can't drive it. and the alternator won't keep the battery fully charged so it runs down after awhile, he knows nothing about cars and doesn't know how to fix it, i'm sure its just a small electrical problem, lol. and he still owes money on the truck to the guy he bought it from. so he is sold it to me for what he owes........$750 haha. he has already payed the guy he owes 2500 so he is losing big time, and i told him this but he just wants to get out from under it.

i'll get some pics up this weekend sometime. its gonna look good parked next to the '84 at my place

Nice deal, well not for him but for you lol. You may be right about the wiring making the battery go down, or it may just have a bad alternator. Shouldnt be a hard fix either way tho.

i'm in the process of adding K series truck #4 to my fleet of 5 GM vehicles. the 5th is a bastard of sorts, a 95 Grand Am that i purchased with the intent of fixing it, and making alot of money. the rest of my fleet has been keeping me too busy to deal with it just yet. i was once a 2wd guy, and a member of the lowered crowd. actually Ryan's truck was the main inspiration of my last 5/7 project. the parts for that 5/7 drop were distributed to various members of the board. something tells me my 86 isnt going to last long, its drivetrain may get donated to a K5 before all is said and done.
