OK, I guess a fleetside sounds GOOOOOD...

I went to see the local body shop guy I know to see if he would let me use his wire welder to tack my cowl scoop on my hood (which turned out good BTW).

While Im welding on the scoop, Im telling him how my truck is coming along & Im telling him how it is going to take me forever to get the money to buy the step fenders & tailgate for my box. He says "Ive got a short fleet box out back you can have, it even has a bed liner in it". I drop the welder & we go out back to look it over. Its not real bad & has a decent long fleet box for my sons 69 that he said I could have to boot. I asked him why the free parts, he said hes tired of all the "junk" setting there. One man's trash............

Im still planning on fixing the stepper as time & $$ allows...corn

Im pretty happy about it. I like fleetsides just as much as stepsides so Ill be happy either way. Its just that Ive never had a stepside & have had a few fleetsides & want to try something different. I can change them back & forth now!!!...corn

Free is my favorite word, especially if it is combines with the word "food." Free truck parts is probably a close second...

yup. Free is the best price for about everything, unless you are selling something.
