Re: Paragon Pics

Down sized a couple more pics for your viewing pleasure.

tnblazerk5, last pic shows the rock slider to frame, cage to bushing and the total lack of both the rocker and torsion box.
IMO rock sliders are a must, used them a fair amount on this trip.
Passenger side took it hard early on during the trip to Raush Creek this past May compliments of a tree.
I plan on fixing it this winter and doing some sort of exo/slide bar down the exterior of both quarters.

Re: Paragon Pics

Yea, ive been there many a times, never with the truck though, always with ATV's and dirtbikes. Its a great place, and I love to just sit around and watch teh trucks up in the rocks. I have seen people come from conneticut and further to wheel at this place. Its awesome.

At least you had fun!

Re: Paragon Pics

Now that was what I built that rig for!

Nice! I like the mods you've done to it as well.

Does it have low enough gearing?

It's morphed since then, you got it started in the right direction though.

Couple items that have been added that have benefited the overall package:
Ram assist steering
High steer kit
39.5 TSL's w/Staun internal bead locks
Detroit in the rear
Limited in the front
Changed front shock location and gained lots more travel
Electric fan
Winch
Inner fenders to stiffen the front clip and tie things together

Things it still needs to be truly trail capable...
Locker in the front. (going spool)
Up grading to a 4340 axle set for the front Dana with full circle clips and better u-joints.
Longer front drive shaft with 4130 yolks and a 12" slip joint. (High Angle of course)
All the above parts have already been ordered and are on the way.

Plans are to repair the quarters and tie some sort of exo rails into the cage to act as sliders againt those blasted trees!

Yes the gearing is low enough and since I replaced the shift rails in the doubler to negate cross ratio shifting everything is happy.
Making the rear t-case mount off the 205 helped thing's stay put better as well.

Re: Paragon Pics

My neighbor just moved his camper to a campground a few miles from that. It is only 27mi from me. He has a jeep that he wants to run through there. I guess I will have to go with him now
