Hi from a Total Newbie

83' shortbed stepside (right???)
http://bp1.blogger.com/_1obh4uc4ABE/...00-h/truck.JPG
Brand new to the world of trucks and Chevys. I have absolutely no clue as to how to do this but, I inherited this truck from my dad and he loved it and I couldn't figure out why. Now, I love it and I want to restore it. I have never worked on cars before but I figure I've come to the right place to gain knowledge about doing this. I don't have a bucket of money but I've got time and you need one or the other, I'm guessing. It runs but it's all rusted out on the passenger side and the bed needs to be replaced. The interior is godawful, well I could go on and on.

Anyway, Hi everyone! I'm glad to be here.

You came to the right place alright. There is more information about Chevy and GMC trucks here than anywhere else! Glad to have you!

Re: Hi from a Total Newbie

I read your whole thread about your rebuild on the '71. It was awe inspiring. It made me hopeful that I can get this truck torn down and rebuilt.
