What RPM's do you have in Neutral/Park?

I am running a 350 Chevy with double hump heads in my 71 C10. I am running presenty at 920-950 rpm according to my timing light. Does this sound right? I personally like the lower rpm's sound but timing wise, it makes engine hesitate when driving. What RPM's do you have in Neutral/Park?

I have both around 800. No real reason, just the way I like it.

Factory specs say that with the engine warm and the vehicle in drive you should idle at 550-600.

If you have hesitation it's likely carburetion, or you might have a vacuum leak.

Mine used to idle about 575 which it was pretty happy with, but something in my throttle linkage isn't *quite* returning so now I'm idling more like 900 or so
